Our City’s athletes have achieved amazing things locally, nationally, and internationally. They are recognized in many different ways, including the Sault Ste. Marie Walk of Fame, the Medal of Merit, and the Athlete of the Year Award. Here at the Complex there are three areas named after Sault athletes. Can you find them?

Jo Forman Track

  • Started coaching at Sir James Dunn High School in 1956
  • Introduced new sports to high schools: track and field, gymnastics, wrestling
  • Won the HP Broughton Memorial Trophy (1977)

Rocky DiPietro Field

  • Canadian Football League receiver for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
  • Recognized in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame
  • Awards:
    • All-Eastern All-Star
    • All-Canadian All-Star
    • Most Outstanding Canadian Player Award
    • Lew Hayman Trophy (Most Outstanding Canadian Player Eastern Division)
