Keep your eyes and ears open…you are not alone! Along the Trail you can discover lots of different animals and plants, including birds, squirrels, hares, foxes, wildflowers, and many varieties of coniferous and deciduous trees. Every season brings its beauty, with different animals and plants.

Monarch butterflies feed on milkweed growing in the Conservation Area during the spring and summer. Beavers change the shape of the forest year to year as they block water flow with their dams. Invasive species, such as catfish and purple loosestrife, also impact the environment as they disrupt the natural food chain of the local habitat. Can you spot any animals around you now? How many can you name?
