In some cities, artists help to create manhole covers, benches, and bicycle racks. In Sault Ste. Marie a unique fish design can be spotted on some manhole covers as you walk along the Trail. Other manhole covers are designed with different patterns and textures. The covers draw our attention to the hundreds of tunnels that carry water to and from our houses every day – a city beneath the City.
